We enjoy snout to tail eating here at the farm and there is no better way to achieve that than ordering a half hog from Broad Brook Beef & Pork. We harvest our hogs at a much higher weight than industry practices, but we feel it adds to the marbling and flavor of our pork that our customers have grown to love. Each half hog results in about 80lbs of edible product that includes pork chops, spare ribs, bacon, hams, and a variety of flavored sausages. Additionally, you’ll also receive the organ meats and pork lard.

Half Hog orders are done on a custom basis. You will need to select from our upcoming month availability.
We can only offer 2 sausage flavors on a single half hog and some of those flavors have an upcharge for ingredients
Meat will come frozen in vacuum sealed packaging that will stay fresh for 1 year in your freezer

Refund Policy

Half Beef & Half Hog Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because half-beef and half-hog orders require us to reserve a specific animal and make arrangements for processing, these orders are handled differently than products purchased directly from our Farm Store.

Deposits & Cancellations

A deposit is required to reserve a half beef or half hog. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel your order within 14 days of placing your order, provided the animal has not yet been committed to your order or processing arrangements have not been finalized.

After the 14-day cancellation period, or once an animal has been specifically committed to your order, the deposit becomes non-refundable. At that point, Broad Brook Beef has made a commitment to reserve the animal and incur costs associated with preparing and processing your order.

If you’ve made a full upfront payment, you also have a 14-day cancellation period to receive a full refund. If after the 14 day window you decide to cancel your order, Broad Brook Beef will refund you the difference between the deposit and the full price.

If you need to cancel after the deposit becomes non-refundable, we will make every reasonable effort to resell the reserved animal or portion of the animal. If we are able to do so, we may refund some or all of your deposit at our discretion, less any costs or fees already incurred.

If Broad Brook Beef Cannot Fulfill Your Order

If circumstances beyond your control prevent us from fulfilling your order, including the loss or unavailability of the animal before processing, Broad Brook Beef will provide a full refund of all amounts paid toward that order.
