“Big Mac” Awesome Sauce Ground Beef Sliders feature a tangy, savory sauce and cheesy ground beef baked on sweet Hawaiian rolls. This easy, crowd-pleasing recipe cooks the beef and bakes the sliders in a single sheet pan, eliminating the need to form individual patties.Ingredients
For the sliders
- 12-pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 ½ lbs Broad Brook Beef ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 8 slices cheddar or American cheese
- Optional: Dill pickle slices
For the Awesome Sauce
- 1 Bottle of Awesome Sauce at Broad Brook Beef
For the buttery topping
- ¼ cup melted butter
- ½ tsp dried minced onion
- Optional: Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Brown the beef. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion, breaking up the meat with a spatula until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Season the meat. Return the beef and onion to the skillet. Stir in the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the sliders. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Apply the Awesome Sauce. Spoon the Awesome Sauce generously onto the bottom bun, making sure each bun is covered, but not drenched. You will not use the entire bottle!
- Layer the ingredients. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the bottom rolls. Arrange the cheese slices on top of the beef. If using, add a layer of dill pickle slices. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
- Make the buttery topping. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 teaspoon Awesome sauce, and dried minced onion. Brush the mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake the sliders. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted. Uncover the sliders for the last 5 minutes of cooking to lightly toast the tops of the buns.
- Serve. Let the sliders cool slightly, then slice along the seams to separate them. Serve immediately!
