Awesome Sauce Burger Sliders

“Big Mac” Awesome Sauce Ground Beef Sliders feature a tangy, savory sauce and cheesy ground beef baked on sweet Hawaiian rolls. This easy, crowd-pleasing recipe cooks the beef and bakes the sliders in a single sheet pan, eliminating the need to form individual patties.
Ingredients
For the sliders
  • 12-pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 ½ lbs Broad Brook Beef ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 8 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • Optional: Dill pickle slices
For the Awesome Sauce
  • 1 Bottle of Awesome Sauce at Broad Brook Beef
For the buttery topping
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ tsp dried minced onion
  • Optional: Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Brown the beef. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion, breaking up the meat with a spatula until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Season the meat. Return the beef and onion to the skillet. Stir in the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble the sliders. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Apply the Awesome Sauce. Spoon the Awesome Sauce generously onto the bottom bun, making sure each bun is covered, but not drenched. You will not use the entire bottle!
  5. Layer the ingredients. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the bottom rolls. Arrange the cheese slices on top of the beef. If using, add a layer of dill pickle slices. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  6. Make the buttery topping. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 teaspoon Awesome sauce, and dried minced onion. Brush the mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Bake the sliders. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted. Uncover the sliders for the last 5 minutes of cooking to lightly toast the tops of the buns.
  8. Serve. Let the sliders cool slightly, then slice along the seams to separate them. Serve immediately!
